Little League Season Schedule

Each level plays one weekday and one weekend game through the baseball season.  

There are a few schedule changes coming for 2024.  AA Jr, AA Sr, AAA, and Majors will start their season on May 4th and end on June 29th.  T-ball and A-ball will start on May 11th and end on July 13th.  The CALL Board feels that this schedule will allow for more baseball and (hopefully) less rainouts!  Rainouts will be made up when possible.

Each team will have three schedule practices/scrimmages to start the season.  

Key Dates

November-March: Registration

Mid March: Coach selection

Late March: Team drafts for AA Junior-Majors levels

April: Player notification for all levels. Practices begin. Uniforms distributed.

May: Regular season begins

June: Regular season ends/playoffs begin (AA Junior-Majors levels)

Late June / Early July (weather dependent): Playoffs and season ends

Challenger League Season

The Challenger League, for players with special needs and physical disabilities, plays games on Sundays (from May through July) at the Central Amherst fields. For questions regarding Challenger baseball, please contact David Whalen at challenger@centralamherst.com or 716-286-7355.

Age Level

Little League Age Requirements:  League Age Determination - Little League (littleleague.org)

Special Note: CALL modified the age chart to better align with LL. In general, your child should register for the next expected level up from what they played last year.  For example, if they played in AA Jr, then they should move to AA Sr.  

Baseball Divisions

• T-Ball (Tee and coach pitch) • Co-ed ages 4 and 5 • Children born between September 1, 2018 and August 31, 2020.
• A-Ball (First-year machine pitch) • Co-ed age 6 • Children born between September 1, 2017 and August 31, 2018.
• AA Junior (Second-year machine pitch) • Co-ed ages 7 • Children born between September 1,  2016 and August 31, 2017.
• AA Senior (First-year player pitch) • Co-ed ages 8 • Children born between September 1, 2015 and August 31, 2016
• AAA (Player pitch) • Co-ed ages 9-10 • Children born between September 1, 2013 and August 31, 2015.
• Majors (Player pitch) • Co-ed ages 11-12 • Children born between September 1, 2011 and August 31, 2013
• Seniors • Co-ed ages 13-16 • Children born between September 1, 2007 and August 31, 2011.

Challenger Divisions

• Players who are league age 4-18 are eligible to be selected to a Little League Challenger Division team.
• Players who are league age 15-above, and who have aged out of the Little League Challenger Division are eligible to be selected to a Senior League Challenger Division team.

2024 League Registration Fees

T-Ball (age 4-5) Base Cost: $155

Seniors (ages 13-16) Base Cost: $180

All Other Levels (ages 6-12) Base Cost: $170

Raffle Fee: A $40 charge is added to the base cost of each player registered to cover the cost of 8 raffle tickets. This fee is recovered by selling your raffle tickets. This fee is included in the family maximum. The raffle drawing (with cash prizes) is held at the annual league picnic.

Family Maximum: The family maximum is $500 (This includes the base cost plus the $40 per player Raffle Fee).  The website is currently unable to properly process the family discount.  Please complete the registration and contact registrations@centralamherst.com and we will adjust your charges, or use the FAMILYMAX code and issue payment separately.  We apologize for this inconvenience.

Please note that your child cannot be placed on a team until their registration has been paid in full.

Central Amherst Little League will NEVER turn away anyone due to financial hardship. Suitable arrangements can always be worked out. Please contact us to make a request. All requests will be kept strictly confidential.

Playing with Friends

Playing baseball with friends is a great way to enjoy baseball at a young age.  If you have friends or relatives that you would like to play with, please provide their names in the registration process.  Central Amherst will attempt to accommodate these requests in T-ball and A ball.  Higher levels have a draft and coaches will attempt to accommodate requests but are limited to do so.
