Amherst Tigers baseball has connections to Central Amherst Little League

Congratulations to the Amherst High School Varsity Baseball Team that just wrapped up one of the most successful seasons in school history. The Tigers advanced to the New York State Class A Far West Regional Game (Final Eight in State Tournament) after winning the Section VI Class A and Class A1 titles. This was the first time Amherst HS reached the regional game since 1993 and the first time it won back-to-back sectional titles since 1947-1948.

The team's playoff roster included 14 members who played house and travel baseball at Central Amherst Little League. Many of the team members started playing together on a Central Amherst 8U travel team and are still playing together this summer on the Central Amherst 17U team. Most of the players have a parent who coached them at CALL. In addition, Amherst High School's coaches (Brian Davis, Chris Dolce, and Greg Kisker) are all CALL parents and coaches—and run the FBI Baseball Camp at CALL, which celebrates its tenth anniversary this summer, as well as the CALL Pre-Season Player Clinic at Amherst High School and the Pre-Season Coaches Clinic.
